Silage Sampling Results From Sept. 1 & 2

There were 15 samples brought in to the Extension silage sampling events yesterday, with lab-tested moisture results ranging from 62.5 to 72.64%.  10 of the samples were from Bonduel area, mostly being in the upper 60’s and an average of 67.9%

Charapata Seeds & Vita-Plus collected 43 samples on Tuesday with the following results:
Town of Grover: Range from 62% to 74%, average of 69.5%
Lena:  Range of 68 to 74%, average of 71.5%
Beaver/Brazeau: range from 65% to 72%, average of 69.3%
Gillett: range from 74 to 75%, average of 74.%%
